Denis, Arielle, and I are excited to offer this internship to our community!
What is Karma Yoga?
Karma yoga is Yoga through Action, leading an active life where everything must be performed in a spirit of inner sacrifice, where all the actions are guided by wisdom, and freedom from attachments, overcoming the ego, and finding harmony. An example of karma yoga is when a person works without pay for a better cause, such as living in an ashram devoting your time to the daily duties to maintain the place.
Work Study Opportunity at Zen Mystery
Many people have approached us about a Karma Yoga program from the first day Zen Mystery open doors. They wanted to learn from us and volunteer their time to the space. We have finally put together three paths that reflect the integral practice we teach at Zen Mystery so that everyone can choose a path that applies to what their higher purpose is.
The three tracks or paths are as follows:
- Business Path: We wanted to offer the opportunity to learn how to build a conscious business in our community to people who are called to do so in this life time. Zen Mystery was a dream Denis had over 15 years ago and it finally manifested. We’ve been there and know how easy it can be when you have the right guidance, and how difficult it can be when you don’t know where to even start with your dream.
- Yoga Path: Many of us come out of the teacher trainings overwhelmed or simply drained and are not ready to teach. And some of us have been practicing only the asana part of yoga but never delve into what yoga really is. In this path, we will cover all aspects of yoga and deepen our practice.
- Beginner’s Path: Many people walk into Zen Mystery knowing it’s time to make a change in their lives but not sure where to start. This is the perfect path for those that need guidance. In this comprehensive program, we will cover the integral lifestyle and how to integrate it in a way that will not feel abrupt.
How it Works
Apply for the program and we will schedule an interview with you so we can understand where you are. When you are accepted to the program, you then will volunteer 10 hours a week to Zen Mystery in exchange for learning.
Deadline for application has been extended to Saturday September 6th, 2014.
